In Bucharest, during a routine exhumation in 1955, Priest Ilie Lăcătușu's body was found incorrupt, emitting a sweet fragrance, 19 years after his death. Despite minimal embalming, his relics remained untouched by decay. His pious life of service, marked by selfless acts of charity and unwavering faith, had clearly made him a Saint in the eyes of God and many Romanians.
