Hieromartyr Evangelicus of Tomis, disciple of Saint Ermilus, suffered for his unwavering faith during the reign of Emperor Diocletian. Thrown into prison for confessing Christ, he endured torture but remained steadfast. When questioned again, he refused to renounce his belief, declaring Christ as the true God. Enraged, the emperor ordered his beheading, thus Evangelicus received the crown of martyrdom.
