On the 21st of July, we remember #Martyr Iuliu Veteranul, a Roman veteran stationed in Durostorum (now Silistra, Bulgaria) during Diocletian's persecutions. Ordered to denounce his #Christian #Faith, Iuliu stood firm, declaring his allegiance to Christ. His steadfastness enraged the authorities, who subjected him to brutal torture. He endured floggings, lacerations, and scorching, yet his spirit remained unbroken. Ultimately, he was beheaded for his unwavering belief.
