On this day, we remember #Martyr Dassie, a Roman soldier during Emperor Diocletian's reign. Chosen by his comrades to represent them at the pagan festival of Saturnalia, Dassie refused to wear pagan garments or participate in their idolatrous rituals, proclaiming himself a Christian. For this act of faith, he was martyred.
