Venerable #Paisie of Sihăstria, born in 1909, felt a deep monastic calling early in life. Before entering monastic life, he served in the army. Later, he became a novice at Cozancea Skete, then at Sihăstria Monastery. Known for his profound spiritual wisdom and guidance, many sought his counsel. He emphasized inner silence and the Jesus Prayer. He reposed in 1985.
