Martyr Sava, a Goth, lived when Christians faced persecution. Ordered to eat pagan sacrificial meat to prove loyalty to the pagan king, Sava refused, confessing Christ. Villagers tried to deceive the authorities, saying they had no Christians. But Sava declared, "Why do you wish to perjure yourselves? As for myself, I am a Christian." He was drowned in the river Buzău, becoming a martyr for his unwavering faith.
