Saint Calistrat, born in Vasiova, was a shepherd boy known for his deep faith. One day, while tending his flock, he encountered a group of monks from Timișeni Monastery seeking a guide. Impressed by his piety, they took him back to the monastery. Calistrat excelled in monastic life, becoming a beacon of humility and prayer. His unwavering devotion to God and compassion for others led many to seek his spiritual guidance. He reposed peacefully in old age, leaving behind a legacy of faith and virtue.
