Venerable Dometie, a humble monk of Râmeț Monastery, possessed a heart overflowing with compassion. One harsh winter, a starving peasant family sought refuge at the monastery gates. While the abbot hesitated due to dwindling supplies, Dometie, moved by their plight, secretly emptied the monastery's granary to feed them. When the abbot discovered the empty storehouse, he was furious. Dometie, without defense, knelt, awaiting punishment. Suddenly, the granary miraculously refilled with grain, exceeding its original capacity. The abbot, witnessing the miracle, recognized Dometie's profound faith and boundless mercy.
