St. Andrew, brother of St. Peter, preached the Gospel far and wide. He traveled to the lands around the Black Sea, including modern-day Romania, bringing many to Christ. Tradition holds that he was crucified in Patras, Greece, on an X-shaped cross. He continued to preach to his persecutors from the cross, converting even more people before his death.

Let us pray to St. Andrew, that through his intercessions, God grants us strength to share our faith fearlessly. May we, like him, be steadfast in our commitment to Christ!
