In the mid-17th century, during times of religious upheaval in Transylvania, Theodosie, a Romanian Orthodox priest from Brazi, steadfastly defended his faith against the encroaching Calvinist influence. Refusing to convert or abandon his flock, he was imprisoned and subjected to torture. Despite the immense pressure, Theodosie remained resolute in his Orthodoxy. Eventually, he was martyred for his unwavering commitment to Christ and the traditions of the Church.
