On May 4th, we remember the Holy Martyr Oprea of Săliştea. In 1767, under pressure to convert to Islam, Oprea stood firm in his Christian faith. He declared, "I was born a Christian, and I want to die a Christian!" For his unwavering belief, he was tortured and ultimately beheaded in chains.
