In the reign of Diocletian, Isihie, a high-ranking soldier, openly confessed his faith when ordered to participate in pagan sacrifices. He was immediately stripped of his rank and subjected to brutal tortures, including being hung, scourged, and lacerated. Unwavering, he was then cast into prison. Miraculously healed by an angel, he was brought before the emperor again, where his steadfast faith led to the conversion of many witnessing soldiers, who also embraced martyrdom.
