Venerable John Iacob the Romanian, after a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, embraced monasticism at Hozeva Monastery. His deep love for God and rigorous asceticism led him to withdraw into the desert caves near the monastery. There, he dedicated himself to ceaseless prayer, fasting, and the writing of spiritual poetry. His life was marked by profound humility and compassion, tending to the sick and offering guidance to those in need. He reposed in 1960, and his relics are venerated for their grace.

O, Venerable #JohnIacob, pray to God for us, and intercede for the salvation of our souls! #saints #OrthodoxChristian #Prayer #Romania #Holiness
