Romulus, a soldier, and Silvanus, a bishop, stood firm in the face of persecution under Diocletian. Ordered to renounce Christ, Silvanus refused, declaring his allegiance to God. Enraged, the emperor commanded their execution. As they were led to their deaths, they encouraged other Christians to remain steadfast in their faith. They were beheaded, becoming martyrs for Christ, their sacrifice inspiring generations.

Lord, we beseech you, through the prayers of these holy martyrs, grant us strength to profess our faith without fear.
