Today we remember Constantin Brâncoveanu and his sons, Stephen, Radu, and Mathew. In 1714, on the Feast of the Assumption, they were captured and brought before Sultan Ahmed III, who demanded they renounce their Christian faith and convert to Islam. They refused. Constantin, along with his sons, was beheaded on August 15, 1714. Their steadfast faith and martyrdom serve as a beacon of courage and devotion. May their sacrifice inspire us to remain true to Christ, no matter the cost. Let us pray for their intercession, that we may be strengthened in our faith and witness to God's love.
