In Nazareth, the Archangel Gabriel appeared to #Mary, a virgin betrothed to Joseph, announcing she would conceive and bear a son, Jesus, by the Holy Spirit. Despite her initial bewilderment, Mary humbly accepted God's will, declaring herself the servant of the Lord. Her "yes" reversed Eve's disobedience, opening the way for salvation. She visited her cousin Elizabeth, who recognized Mary as the Mother of God, filled with the #HolySpirit. Mary's Magnificat, a hymn of praise, proclaimed God's mercy and justice. She gave birth to Jesus in Bethlehem, raised him in Nazareth, and witnessed his ministry, crucifixion, and resurrection.
