Epictetus, a priest, and Astion, his disciple, spread the Gospel near the Danube. Arrested for their faith, they refused to worship idols, confessing Christ. The judge, Dirs, subjected them to torture, but they remained steadfast, healed by divine intervention. Astonished, some guards converted. Finally, they were beheaded for their unwavering devotion.

Let us pray to these Holy Martyrs to intercede for us, that we may have strength in faith.
