St. John, a merchant from Trebizond, was falsely accused of plotting against the Tatar governor in Belgorod. Despite temptations and torture, he refused to renounce #Christ. He was beaten for his faith, dragged through the streets, and finally beheaded. His body was then burned, but his heart remained untouched by the flames. Christians recovered his relics, and they became a source of miracles and blessings.
