Venerable Anthony of Iezeru, born in the early 17th century, abandoned wealth for monastic life. He found solitude in a cave near the Iezeru River, dedicating himself to prayer and asceticism. Villagers, drawn by his holiness, sought his guidance. He later rebuilt a dilapidated church, establishing the Iezeru Monastery. Known for his deep humility and spiritual wisdom, Anthony guided many souls to Christ. He reposed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith and devotion.
