Saints Nicander and Marcian, Roman soldiers, secretly converted to Christianity after witnessing the miraculous endurance of Saints Julius and Hesychius during torture. Moved by faith, they began visiting imprisoned Christians, tending to their wounds, and bringing them food. Eventually, they openly confessed their faith and were subjected to gruesome tortures themselves. Unwavering, they were beheaded, becoming martyrs for Christ.
