Evangelicus, a bishop in Tomis (present-day Romania), faced persecution for his unwavering faith during the reign of Diocletian. When questioned about his identity, he declared himself a Christian, confessing Christ as his King. For refusing to offer sacrifices to idols, he was brutally beaten. He endured torture with steadfast resolve, glorifying God through his suffering. Eventually, he was beheaded, becoming a martyr for the faith. His sacrifice solidified the Church in the region, inspiring countless others.
