Born in Moldavia, he yearned for monastic life early on. After travels to Mount Athos and other spiritual centers, he settled at Calapodeşti Monastery. Known for his deep humility and rigorous asceticism, he performed countless acts of charity, caring for the poor and sick. One winter, during a severe famine, the monastery's supplies dwindled. Facing starvation, Antipa prayed fervently. The next morning, wagons filled with grain miraculously appeared at the monastery gates, saving the community from starvation.
