St. Lupos, a loyal servant to St. Demetrios, witnessed his master's martyrdom. Dipping a cloth in St. Demetrios' blood, Lupos used it to heal the sick and perform miracles in Thessaloniki. He destroyed pagan idols, angering Emperor Maximian, who demanded Lupos worship false gods. Lupos refused, confessing Christ. He was tortured, but remained steadfast. Thrown into a fiery furnace, he emerged unharmed. Enraged, the emperor ordered his beheading.
Let us pray to #SaintLupos to intercede for us, that we may have the same courage to profess our #Faith in the face of adversity. May his prayers strengthen us to destroy the idols in our own hearts and serve #God faithfully. #OrthodoxChristian #Martyr
