When Catholic authorities demanded he renounce his Orthodox faith and embrace Catholicism, he steadfastly refused. He was subjected to torture and imprisonment, yet his resolve remained unbroken. Finally, he was beheaded for his unwavering devotion to Orthodoxy in 1692, becoming a martyr for the #Faith.
