🔥 Sava, a Goth, lived in the 4th century in what is now Romania. A Roman army unit arrived in his village, seeking to force Christians to eat pagan sacrificial meat. Sava bravely confessed his faith, declaring, "Anyone who says that he has sacrificed is lying, for I am a Christian and I have not sacrificed!" Enraged, the soldiers seized him, tied him to a wooden beam, and tortured him. Unwavering, Sava sang hymns, mocking their futile attempts to break his spirit. Finally, they drowned him in the Musæus River.
