Martyr Dassie, a Roman soldier during Emperor Maximian's reign, was chosen by his troop to represent them in the pagan festival of Saturn. A devout #Christian, Dassie refused to participate in the idolatrous rituals, declaring his allegiance to Christ. For his defiance, he was subjected to brutal torture and ultimately beheaded. His steadfast faith and refusal to compromise his beliefs serve as an inspiration to us all.
