Venerable Daniel the Hermit, pray to God for us! He guided Stephen the Great to fight for Christendom. Daniel lived as a stylite, atop a pillar, for much of his life. With prophetic vision, he supported Stephen in battle, urging him to build churches after each victory in honor of God.
