Venerable John Iacob the Romanian, after serving in several Romanian monasteries, journeyed to the Holy Land. In 1952, he withdrew to a cave near the Monastery of St. George Hozevitou, living an ascetic life of prayer and solitude. Despite his desire for isolation, pilgrims sought him out, drawn by his wisdom and holiness. He reposed in 1960, and his relics, discovered incorrupt, are venerated as a testament to his devotion.

Holy #Saint John, pray that we may emulate your dedication to God, finding strength in solitude and offering guidance to those who seek spiritual truth.
