Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a guard, were martyred for their faith. Ermil boldly confessed Christ, while Stratonic, secretly a Christian, was torn by his duty to execute Ermil. Seeing Stratonic's anguish, Ermil prophesied their shared fate. Stratonic then confessed his faith openly. Both were tortured and drowned.
