Venerable Dometie lived in a cave near the Râmeț Monastery in Transylvania. He dedicated his life to prayer and helping the poor. One day, a group of thieves came to his cave, expecting to find riches. Dometie welcomed them, offering them food and water. He spoke to them about repentance and God's love. Touched by his kindness and words, the thieves repented and changed their ways, becoming honest men.
