On August 15, 1714, Prince Constantin Brâncoveanu of Wallachia, along with his four sons Constantin, Ștefan, Radu, and Matei, were beheaded in Istanbul for refusing to renounce their Christian faith. Offered wealth and high position by Sultan Ahmed III if they converted to Islam, each steadfastly chose death. Constantin, the eldest son, encouraged his younger brothers to remain true, as did their father. Their courage and devotion inspired many Christians in the region.

Let us pray to the #MartyrsBrâncoveni, that through their intercessions, we may find the strength to uphold our #faith in the face of adversity and remain steadfast in our devotion to #God. May their sacrifice inspire us to live lives worthy of our #Christian calling.
