Venerable Visarion, a humble monk from the Romanian Orthodox Church, staunchly defended Orthodox teachings against encroaching foreign influences in the 20th century. He was arrested and tortured by the communist regime for his unwavering faith and refusal to compromise his beliefs. Despite immense suffering, he remained steadfast, offering solace and strength to his fellow prisoners. He reposed in 1979, his life a beacon of courage and devotion.
