Martyrs Montanus and Maxima refused to renounce their Christian faith during Emperor Diocletian's persecutions. Offered honors and riches to worship pagan gods, they remained steadfast. Enduring floggings and tortures, their resolve never wavered. Finally, they were drowned at Singidunum (Belgrade) in 304 AD, becoming symbols of unwavering devotion.

Let us pray for their intercession, that we may have strength to uphold our faith in the face of adversity.
