Venerable Dimitrie, a humble shepherd, lived a life of simple piety in the village of Basarabi. After his death, during a time of drought, his relics were revealed in a dream to a paralytic girl, offering her healing if they were recovered. Villagers, guided by this vision, found his body incorrupt and fragrant. As they carried his relics towards the village, rain miraculously fell, ending the drought. His relics were later moved to Bucharest, where they continue to be venerated, offering comfort and healing to the faithful.
