Mary, a virgin from Nazareth, conceived Jesus through the Holy Spirit. Visited by the Archangel Gabriel, she humbly accepted her role as the mother of God. She journeyed to Bethlehem with Joseph, where she gave birth to Jesus in a manger. She presented Him in the Temple, fled to Egypt to protect Him from Herod, and raised Him in Nazareth. She stood by Jesus during His ministry and crucifixion. After His ascension, she remained with the apostles, awaiting the Holy Spirit.
