Amidst this turmoil, he championed education, establishing schools and supporting the printing of religious texts in Romanian. A fire broke out in Bucharest, threatening to engulf the city's main church. Gregory, with unwavering faith, led the people in prayer, and a sudden downpour extinguished the flames, saving the church and inspiring the community.
